Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving

Workshop Overview:

Thinking critically is the ability to use knowledge, facts, and data to effectively solve problems.  The most creative solutions to problems don’t involve thinking “outside of the box” but rather, thinking “inside of the box”—meaning working within constraints and with limited resources.  By consistently activating the “higher order thinking” neural pathways in the brain, one can become more creative and agile in their everyday problem-solving.

Objectives:

· Discuss five practical solutions to alleviate mental roadblocks

· Learn to strategize by applying five idea-generation techniques

· Improve feedback-giving skills through constructive critical analysis of information

· Identify tools and techniques to solve complex problems
